Our flagship collateral analysis software CAS is used by major financial institutions to support sales, trading, securitization and risk analysis of ABS collateral. This market requires intensive data analysis and manipulation -- and bright, personable, motivated people to do the work. Successful program graduates are usually offered front-office analyst positions dealing directly with bankers and traders on a daily basis. Previous internship graduates have gone on to become bankers and traders.
In addition to intensive hands-on training and exercises on CAS, interns are given instruction, problem sets and readings in the overall mortgage market, mortgage finance, and mortgage mathematics. Previous interns have received academic credit for this program from their college or university.
Successful interns usually have strong math and quantitative skills. We usually look for economics, mathematics, or finance majors, but any broad liberal arts degree will be considered.
The internship is graded on a pass/fail basis. Passing interns may be offered interviews at our top-tier investment bank clients. Failing interns are urged to seek other career paths.
