Resetting CAS user settings file | CAS

Certain errors may be caused by a corrupt application preferences file.  You can resolve them by deleting the file and restarting the application.

 

  • Open the Command Prompt

    \


 

  • Close all sessions of CAS using the expression below.
    *Warning* application will be closed without any prompt to save current work.  Please save any CAS file before running.

    taskkill /f /im dyalogrt.exe


     
  • Delete preferences file using the expression below

    del "%appdata%\the Carlisle Group\CAS-64 6.0\casprefs.xml"



     
  • Start CAS as usual.
