CAS 3.1 End-of-life

Dear Carlisle Customer,

CAS 3.1 will no longer be supported after March 1st. If you have not done so already , we recommend upgrading to CAS 4.0.  There is no major change to the interface or functionality, but underlying performance has been improved.  Note that the release of CAS 4.0 marks the end of “Large File Mode”.  For user working with “big files”, CAS 4.0 64-bit is available at no additional charge upon request.

Also, note the new process for downloading CAS and accessing the Register User page at www.carlislegroup.com.  Individual user registration is required and may be completed by clicking on the “Register” link on the upper right corner of this page.  When you register, your account will be activated once you receive a confirmation email from Carlisle Support.

Please let us know if we can be of any assistance with any CAS questions or projects you may be working on.

Regards,

The Carlisle Group

CAS 4.0 & CAS 4.0 64 - Bit Released

The Carlisle Group is proud to announce the release of CAS 4.0 and CAS 4.0 64 bit. This new release incorporates performance improvements along with improved memory management. Users running 64 bit Microsoft Windows and CAS 4.0 64 bit will now have the ability to bypass the 1.4Gb memory allocation limit imposed by 32 bit versions of Windows. At the current time CAS 4.0 64 bit is available by request only.

Important Considerations:

  • CAS files saved in version 4.0 are not backwards compatible with CAS 3.0 or CAS 3.1. Please use caution when saving not to overwrite files that need to be opened with previous versions of CAS.
  • CAS 4.0 will no longer support Large File Mode. If you need to work on very large data sets, please see about upgrading to CAS 4.0 64 bit.

Windows Vista Compatibility

CAS 3.1 is Microsoft Windows Vista compatible.

Microsoft Office 2007

With the release of Office 2007, Microsoft has changed the default setting for the “Browse in same window” parameter. With that change any RTF report displayed in CAS 3.1 will not be displayed within CAS itself but a standalone Word Document. To change this behavior, please change the “Browse in same window” setting to yes.
